The data used in this Insight is based on the annual Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) survey by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The calculation of opportunity score is a weighting of total engineering/design temporary spend in a selected market, engineering/design employment growth and engineering/design employment as a share of total employment. Markets where engineering/design temporary spend was higher, engineering/design employment growth was greater and which had a larger share of engineering/design employment relative to total earned higher scores. Scores ranged from a minimum of zero to a maximum of 100. |
